Around Pyrenees Orientales
The mountain valleys provide a varied landscape with its many orchards, vineyards, villages and distinctive historical and cultural heritage. In the summer there are plenty of stalls along the road where you delicious peaches, nectarines, apricots and fresh vegetables can buy.
Along the coast are numerous seaside resorts, ancient fishing ports and luxury marinas. Typical of this coastline, the inland lakes, the étangs.
is the Mediterranean sea. There are beautiful sand and pebble beaches: Argelès Plage, Canet plage and the picturesque fishing village of Collioure.
Inland there is a beautiful area with a variety of flora and fauna, medicinal springs, hiking and cycling routes and ski like Font-Romeu, Pyrenees 2000.
Walks GR. 10, 36 and Les Sentiers d'Emilie. There are a number of footpaths near deported but nothing prevents you to choose a route to develop.
For cyclists and mountain bikers, there are plenty of opportunities. Of course good brakes and derailleur need here.
The Pic du Canigou, 2784m altitude, is usually the year covered with snow. A trip to the snow in the summer, quite something.
